Afrah Elobeid, the founder of MedEd, is a medical doctor specialized in public health and healthcare administration. Dr. Afrah is dedicated to building the capacity of the next generation of healthcare professionals through evidence-based teaching, mentorship, and innovation in healthcare.

Education

Dr Afrah holds an MBBS, MPH, MHA, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration. She also has a diploma in computer science and several certificates in research, medical ethics, quality improvement, and personal training.

Experience

Dr. Afrah has international experience from Sudan, Sultanate of Oman, and the United States of America. She spent more than 20 years in clinical practice, community medicine, strategic planning for healthcare, macro and micro-healthcare administration, leadership, medical education, and much more. In Sudan, Dr. Afrah worked for the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) as a clinician, a head of Quality Improvement, and a director of planning and training at a state level. In Oman, she worked for the Ministry of Health (MOH) as a clinician, medical officer in-charge, superintendent of planning, and acting director of the planning and quality department at a state level. In the USA, she worked for the Department of Health, Mount Sinai Health System, and is teaching graduate-level public health students at the International Public Health U.
